Everyone goes to The Pub, where Ollie Reed died.
That's about it.

Yeah weird place for a stag do or a beach holiday (there are no decent beaxhes).
One for history lovers only. And for that reason will have limited appeal for stags, beach junkies and travel bores ("Yah, I went to Tuvalu before it became an over commercialised tourist trap" - you know who you are)

Excellent for diving. Lots of wrecks.
The palace of the grand master is interesting.
The walls of valetta are impressive - about 15 metres thick.
Cant say i massively enjoyed myself there but diving in March is a bit of a challenge as its so coldy.

The place is a dive, saved only by some mildly interesting history.
Valletta's Old Town is rather nice though.
4/10.
If you like stewed rabbit.
5.5/10

Went there last year for the England game. You'll spend all of your time in Paceville.

Went last year with low expectations. Thought it would be an old people's home. Surprised, liked it and not full on pensioners. Ok food and late night bars Friday through Sunday.

"If it flies - it does."
Odd people the Maltese taking pleasure in shooting as may migratory birds as they possibly can just for the thrill of it.

I go there 4/5 times s year, Paceville, St Julians is where all the nightclubs are but it’s mainly U25s and all Italians, loads of Gentlemen clubs with nice Eastern European strippers that will rob you for all your money, if you go in one hide your money down your socks, they will take every penny off you. Better off going in a massage shop over there, there’s nearly one in every street now owned by Chinese women, not that I’ve been to any of these establishments, I just go there for the History which Malta is famous for.

Walked past that thirst barber a number of times if I’m right it’s only been open a couple of years round the back street by the Avenue restaurant, will pop in there next time I’m over

Bugibba for a cheap night out (bars were selling drinks from cans when I went). Lots of ex-pats and tatooed elderly people if thats your thing.
Valetta - a great city - the Lascaris War Rooms are a great couple of hours for WW2 history lovers
Vittoriosa/Birgu just across water from Valetta Grand Harbour- great views of the city and good to explore, and nice bars to eat and drink
Marsaxlokk Fish market if you want a fresh fish meal (there are bars and restaurants as well as a market) - prob 20 mins from Valetta
Day trip to Gozo - lovely beaches, less crowded, rugged, natural. Can probably get someone to drive you around on a tour as its not that big
They have great bread over there and little pea filled pasties that are a great late night drinking snack!
Have fun!

I went there in 1981 and lived off swordfish. Had a great holiday back then as it wasn't over the top with loads of bars.
